This module was specifically designed to address the suicide epidemic that is sweeping across this country. Specifically, law enforcement have been especially impacted by suicide as disproportionate numbers come in, we have to do better with not only availing individuals of the resources to assist them, but also what should you do in support of someone in crisis.
The Module was facilitated and lectured by Dr. Gerald Steffen. Dr. Steffen is a retired Law Enforcement Supervisor and former member of the U. S. Military. Dr. Steffen is also an educator, focusing his efforts and successes on guiding qualified candidates to the law enforcement community.
Mark Pendergrass is an Ordained Minister and Counselor. Mr. Pendergrass has also worked in the industry to support law Enforcement, their education as well as healthy career choices and activities leading towards success at home, work and play. This module has been instrumental in many of the lives
of our officers in blue and silver.
This is a much needed booster for the industry. This is a positive agency supported module as we seek to strengthen the professionalism and competency of new officers.
