We are both, a law enforcement training company, and a content development company. We have more than 68 courses not including the individual courses of our talented SMEs.
A SME is a Subject Matter Expert, which usually means that the instructor is an expert in that field, or at least on that topic. Subject Matter Experts can teach a variety of topics and become experts on many as well. But there are some SMEs that stand alone, that they are so expert that the experts come to him/her. Those are the SMEs we have, always bringing you the best!
Yes, we do offer classes online, and we offer those in two formats. We offer many of our courses via ZOOM, and these courses can be one or two-days in duration. We also offer training via Training Module. Here, the attendee simply logs into the sight, selects the module they are interested, and can watch the module at the click of their mouse.
Train-The-Trainer is uniquely designed to allow agencies to train their own people, in-house. We will certify the individuals the agency selects for this training. Once they've completed the training, they will be able to teach our curriculum at their agency and receive our certification for each of their attendees. The cost difference is simple, under the Train-The-Trainer, the agency only pays $35 for each person they train.
We will always offer discounts to large groups and we always offer 'some' complimentary seats to agencies that Host our training.
Well, the biggest need doesn't always mean the most trained. I think we are headed down the dreaded 'bias path' again. We are continuing to have incidents, and with the changes in administrative policy, there bounds to be some clashes. I also think the new immigration policies will also cause some bias traps for law enforcement as well. This will be a tough one for our cities and our facilities as well. We're most likely to bring 'overcrowding' to a new level.
That's typically how Mental Health goes, it's not just the stigma anymore, people just don't talk about it, its becoming a dangerous norm. Some work environments are pretty hostile, and we're no closer to understanding or knowing each other any better than we have before. We have to stay focused on Mental Health, continue promoting 'Mentally Healthy Work Environments,' and get our Suicide Prevention Training.
We believe in training, and we also believe that most people, who offer training, do it with the sincere intent to educate their attendees. And for that reason, training is good. What sets us apart is, we have SMEs that have been at every level and have succeeded at every level. Success doesn't come without cost, some say, "that's experience." I say, learn from the mistakes (cost) of others so as not to experience what they have. We also make it affordable, we won't let cost get between you and our awesome instructors.
What you will eventually find is, there are so many people who want to be instructors, and I can't blame them. Teaching can be an awesome experiences, and those who are good at it, can get the opportunity to travel to different parts of the country to teach. But, so many people want to teach, and so few actually get to. That's why we have the top SMEs and we're always looking for awesome additions to the family, of course we are.
The Street Cop Legal Guide is a comprehensive depiction of laws that impact officers on patrol as well as officers that police the community and both. We present the facts of the case (canine sniff, passenger rights, search and seizure, use of force, etc.) and then we present the findings, what's held by the court. It's a Digital Guide with Hyper Links for each topic.
There's a couple reasons for this and one is kinda personal. Let's talk about the first. We wanted to produce something that could be purchased by officers, only $10. Yes, agencies should purchase these for their people, but we didn't want that to be a deterrence. We get this question a lot, it's 366 pages, so a lot of work was put into this, we give back. The second reason is simple, sometimes you have to take the higher ground and put your energy into something useful and positive, thats what we did.
