In an effort to protect and serve or operate safe and secure prisons, the last thng we need is a mass exodus. We are all aware of individuals who are ready to retire, or individuals who find themselves facing profession ending decisions, but the bigger problem is that individuals are leaving to go to other agencies or opportunities outside of law enforcement. As yes, the public and media have contributed to this, and as a result, law enforcement officers have new risks since every practice is surely scrutinized. This training is not just for decision makers, it's also for the front line. We want to help you arrive at reasons to stay. In this course, we will discuss strategies to improve upon retention and walk through approaches to extend your new officer's tenures. We will also work through methods to retain your tenured officers by addressing communication, input by officers, and a better understanding of the need for their continued loyalty. There are several solutions to this problem which requires new ways of thinking. This is a workforce issue, we have to intervene on behalf of your workforce. We will not focus on the impossible, that's why we fail, we will focus on what's practical.
